The Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue invites you to enter our 2024 Photo Calendar Contest. This is not your typical photography contest! We're excited to offer an online, interactive voting platform that not only lets you be actively involved in your photo submission's chance of winning a spot in the SCGRRescue 2024 "Happy Golden Days!" calendar, but also helps raise funds for our non-profit organization.

We are the original Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue. Our dogs are in foster homes, never kenneled, temperament tested, socialized and vetted prior to adoption. Our goal is to find the perfect home for each individual dog and each one has their own personal representative for as long as they are in our care.

Our mission is to find loving, lifetime homes for all Southern California Golden Retrievers in need, regardless of conditions or circumstances. Thankfully Golden Retrievers are high demand dogs, which means the young and healthy are rescued easily. But increasingly we see older dogs or those with significant medical needs abandoned by their owners – likely due to the costs of treatment.

We do not turn away dogs based on their medical need and we are committed to resolving their needs prior to adoption. Dogs deemed unadoptable enter our permanent foster program where they live out the duration of their lives in a loving foster home with SCGRR to pay their bills.

Our rescue is funded and supported solely by the generosity of the community through memberships, donations, memorials, bequests, participation in our fundraising events, and through the dedication of our volunteers.

Want a guaranteed spot in the calendar? Reserve a day to honor your pet. Your pet's photo will appear on the day of your choice. ­Just choose your favorite photo and then choose the day and pay! First come first served! Once a date has been reserved, it will no longer be available. Each day is $25.
