A little about me...
My name is Otis and I was a runaway, scared of everything and everyone. My owners saw a Facebook post from the HS asking for help in my search. They say I was on the loose for a week and ran from Poland to Little Falls. Once captured the HCHS was cautious with whom they'd send me home with, as this wasn't my first escape from my adopters. My owners were cautious with me as they heard the news of my breakaways, busting through windows and doors. Labor Day weekend came, they visited me on several occassions before I was allowed to go home with them.
As his new adopters, we could see he was obviously abused based on his behavior and how skittish he was once we got him home. Any clicking sounds or rolling up of plastic bags or any quick hand motions made him flinch and cower in fear. Well, this September makes 3 years that he has been with us and he is the best dog we've ever had! He is playful, protective and loves his family very much! Best part, we were told he'd always require a leash, well not anymore. He is free and has never made any attempt to leave. They say the dog chooses their owners, I believe it to be true. Otis thanks you, and we thank you HCHS for all you do!!
